EXIT FESTIVAL !!

This weekend is Exit Festival's 10th bday. A monumental festival set in the grounds of a medieval fortress, the dance arena is built onto the side of a castle, which is where myself and Tayo will be playing back to back on Sat....im sooo excited...Other acts include Ritchie Hawtin, Green Velvet, Kraftwerk, Carl Cox, The Prodigy and loads more, all the djs on dance arena are playing b2b for a special 10th Bday treat :)

The Bad Side!!

So things have been nice and bubbling in the last few months, our first Batty Bass Records releases underway, some crazy good HH gigs in, Berlin, Ukraine, a festival called The Fix in a beautiful place in Norway called Bergen, i managed to catch Angie Stone and Flying Lotus in the same night!! Played in a converted cinema, the with the seats still in, quite surreal!! People were jumping still :) Many London gigs and a quick stop off in Amserdam for a Burlesque party , yes yes!! The Bugged Out presents Mad Decent vs Crookers party was pretty insane, massive two arches in Southwark, usually a car park, big systems , many ravers = madness!!! Bristol for another Bugged out, Batty Bass, Nottingham and a really cool party in Manchester which was held in an 17th century CHapel, which the promoters had originally squatted but now rented it for parties, a perfect setting for a twisted shindig :) Lovely.

elllo, so my last Trailer Trash at On The Rocks ended dramatically by the police closing it down, after somebody kindly slipped into a KHole outside the club, an ambulance was called..etc etc. A slightly sour but fitting end to my 5 year residency!!! the next day i headed off to Brussels for Mort aux Jeunes party in a fab club called Recylcart, i played there last year, in fact my "Live In Belgium" mix was recorded there. i love this place, its a train station in the week and a club on the wkd!!! Great crowd, loads of cross dressing going on, which reminded me of early Trailer Trash days!! Thanks to all the guys.





Batty Bass last thurs was pure good vibes and a huge dance-a-thon, massive shouts to Miss Bailey and Debo for their simply beautiful sets! I will get one of their sets posted on here for download soon. and will have a little video edit soon...

Fri, off i hopped to Helsinki in Finland for a gig in a basement venue, which had a great soundsystem, but hardly any punters, due to a festival down the road...one of dem ones!!!

Back in London was the Trailer Trash 5th birthday warehouse party, held in a new space in shoreditch, it was loads of fun, proper old skool sweaty rave stylee!!!




Studio wise been ive doing something a bit different, just finished a track for comedy, tranny, performance artist, genuis, Jonny Woo, he is supporting Peaches at The Royal Festival Hall on Fri and will be performing the track among other spoken word and musical pieces. Its pretty avant gaud , sci fi hard core techno, berghium styleee, to fit his menacing drool about Killing!!!! Hopefully there will be a video of the performance.

Tonight is my last ever gig at On The Rocks, for Trailer Trash. Ive decided to stop playing at the club to concentrate on other projects, plus 5 years is a hell of a long time and a great round number to finish at !!! I will still be playing for the other Trailer Trash events. It really is an end of an era and i have many many fond memories of nights in that sleazy dirty disco!! Thank u to all the dancefloor crew for being so much fun to play for and really supportive. HAPPY DAYS BIG TUNES DANCEFLOOR CARNAGE~!!!

so the last couple of weeks have been mucho fun, Space in Leeds was a blast. Massive shouts to Ugene and crew who showed me the afterhours parties of Leeds, which was full of laughs, thank u! Brighton was again pretty special, i met many batty bass disciples down there who just went insane for the bass, great to see, thanks to Andrew for letting us boss him around after the show!!! Sankeys in Manchester was a fun trip with my gurl Kerrie-Ann, but the gig was a lil disappointing as the crowd had seriously thinned by the time i got on, which was the last set, just one of those odd ones!!! The air seemed thick with ketamine and we witnessed a few people being literally thrown out, which is never good vibes for the dancefloor in my opinion! Onwards to this weeks gigs with lots of new ammunition and bass power! Ill be in the studio this week , finishing a remix for Worthy which im really excited about.. PLus FINALLY the all important distribution contract for Batty Bass Records is on the table and just about to be signed, its been a painfully slow in getting this project off the ground , what with the current climate of the buisness (companies going under left right and centre) but we are very nearly there and have some amazing records to deliver to your good selves!!! Watch this space.

Im finally recovering from a proper boooom new year! The Bugged Out/Trailer TRash/Disco Bloodbath New Years Eve party went off like a rocket! Trailer took over the lightbox at Fire Club, which is a room you really have to experience... amazing soundsystem and the dancefloor is completely engulfed with LCD lighting, it like a lil acid trip techno ball!! The setting was perfect to DJ, and it was one of those special gigs where u feel at one with the music , the crowd, the sound, the lighting, the energy and the vibe just goes off!!! Is not often all those factors join together, but when it does its a very memorable feeling. Big love to all the ravers :) !!!
The next day was even more delicious. Massive respect to all who came and literally danced there toes off at Batty Bass, we always have such an amzing up for it fun and hot crowd down to party wiv us...big up!!! Miss Bailey , We;re Not Cool, Mama and CHickaboo's dj sets were outstanding! The vibe was just pure happiness which built into joyess insanity throughout evening! All in all a great start for 2009. xxxx
